We are looking for experienced Privacy Counsel to collaborate with a diverse range of clients from Fortune 100 to Fortune 500 companies across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering legal guidance on privacy compliance obligations and identifying areas for enhancement in privacy practices.
  • Revising privacy policies, negotiating and drafting master service agreements in line with international privacy standards, and assisting in the creation of guidelines, training materials, and tools to foster privacy accountability and compliance.
  • Engaging directly with business clients and providing strategic advice and practical solutions for a variety of corporate policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with outstanding academic credentials and law firm background; in-house experience is advantageous.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations, including Canadian, U.S., and EU laws such as GDPR, PIPEDA, and the Privacy Act.
  • Proven experience in providing regulatory and policy advice in data protection, privacy law, and related fields of information law.
