Claims Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Claims Manager to drive business growth and lead our Accident & Health claims team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping our claims strategy and delivering exceptional customer service.
About the Role
- Lead a team of claims analysts in Montreal and Toronto, providing technical assistance and guidance on accident and health claims, including AD&D, accident and sickness claims, critical illness, hospital cash claims, out of country medical and business-related travel claims, as well as Accident Benefits claims (SABS & Loss transfer).
- Develop and implement claims processes and protocols to ensure best practices and minimize departmental leakage.
- Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial departments to drive business alignment and provide claim trends and large loss reports.
- Manage broker and customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and meeting their needs.
- Perform performance management of team members, including weekly 1x1's, monthly team meetings, and mid-year reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Accident & Health claims or related experience.
- Prior leadership experience, including performance management and mentoring of junior to senior staff.
- Strong customer service orientation, people skills, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and executive presence.
- Ability to work independently, think strategically, and manage workload effectively.
