Job Overview

AECOM is seeking an experienced Aviation ORAT Lead to oversee the successful execution of the ORAT program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ORAT Lead is accountable for the comprehensive execution of the ORAT program, ensuring it aligns with the airport's development goals.
  • Manages the rollout of the ORAT program, guaranteeing that all airport operations and stakeholders are adequately prepared for the introduction and operation of new facilities.
  • Develops strategic plans for the ORAT program and establishes key milestones that coincide with operational launches.
  • Provides direction and leadership to the ORAT Functional Leads, ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Advises and guides the ORAT Functional Leads and Subject Matter Experts on best practices.
  • Identifies critical dependencies, monitors progress, and reviews milestones in accordance with the ORAT timeline leading to the airport's opening.
  • Collaborates with workstream leaders and key stakeholders to develop a cohesive ORAT timeline and identify necessary dependencies for a successful launch.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the airport's executive management team, consistently assessing and reporting on the readiness of new facilities.
  • Facilitates the resolution of ORAT-related conflicts, proactively identifying and escalating potential risks to the ORAT steering committee or executive management.
  • Communicates significant operational risks to the executive management team and the ORAT steering committee to ensure transparency.
  • Reviews, modifies, and approves workstream plans related to facilities, personnel, systems, and processes.
  • Offers coaching, mentoring, and professional development support to airport-specific personnel.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 12 years of experience in an on-site permitting management role.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 20 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in an on-site permitting management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading at least one ORAT program as the ORAT Lead.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the aviation industry, particularly in airport and airline operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Adept at analyzing complex ORAT challenges and providing innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, capable of leading large meetings and workshops.
  • Experience in managing relationships with airport executives and senior stakeholders, providing strategic reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ideal candidates will have ORAT experience on major international airport projects valued over CAD $500M.
