Key Responsibilities- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the tools and technologies utilized by DigiVie and our clientele.
- Provide support to existing clients and their IT systems.
- Conduct technical evaluations and document systems for both new and current clients.
- Efficiently manage and resolve support requests using strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Oversee projects, including the setup and deployment of physical and virtual servers as well as IP telephony systems.
- Execute proactive maintenance tasks on computers, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Engage in strategic communication with customers.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge through our career development program focused on technology and IT security.
- Residence in the Ottawa area.
- A minimum of 1 year of technical experience in supporting IT solutions.
- Professional demeanor with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office 365.
- Fundamental understanding of networking technologies.
- Basic experience with domain name registration and DNS management.
- Ability to contribute positively to a dynamic team environment.
- A valid Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel.
- Completion of a police records check.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination.
- Familiarity with Microsoft server operating systems (2012R2 and higher), Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with virtualization deployments (Hyper-V / VMWare).
- Knowledge of data backup systems and antivirus platforms.
- Possession of or familiarity with the following is highly desirable:
- A two-year associate's degree in a computer-related field, Network+ certification, or equivalent experience.
- MCSA certification or higher.
- Experience with RMM and PSA tools (ConnectWise).
- Knowledge of SonicWALL Firewalls.
- Experience with Dell PowerEdge Servers and iDRAC configurations.
- Familiarity with SIP-based telephony systems.
- Experience with WHM/cPanel and LAMP-based VPS services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell.
- Experience with VMware vSphere.
- Knowledge of Citrix XenApp and CPSM.
