Job Summary:
The Gabriel Dumont Institute is seeking a qualified individual to provide tutoring support to students in various subject areas. As a Tutoring Support Specialist, you will work closely with the La Loche ABE programs to deliver high-quality support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students in Communications, Math, Social Sciences, Science, Lifeworks, English Language Arts A30, B30, Biology, and Native Studies at the grade 10 – 12 levels.
- Assist students during classroom hours and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with program staff to develop and implement effective support strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum grade 12 diploma required.
- Experience working with adult learners is an asset.
- Education Assistant certificate is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and equity groups.
