Job Summary:

As a Registered Practical Nurse with Thrive Group Canada, you will play a vital role in providing nursing services to clients within our transitional program. This program supports seniors and individuals with disabilities, and you will be responsible for monitoring their health status and providing care within your scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health status of clients and provide nursing services as needed.
  • Ensure the security and safety of clients, staff, and guests by monitoring the building and taking appropriate action in emergency situations.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a vocational, college, or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body.
  • Current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset.
  • Experience working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use tact and discretion, display professionalism, and demonstrate sound judgment and flexibility.
  • Certification in health and safety and first aid is considered an asset.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including lifting and transferring of residents.
