About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Retail Design and Experience to join our team at Arc'teryx. As a key member of our Store Development department, you will be responsible for creating innovative and engaging retail experiences that reflect our brand's values and aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement global retail design strategies that align with our brand's vision and goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver retail concepts for all D2C channels, including brand stores, e-commerce, and pop-up experiences
  • Collaborate with our Brand Creative and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure consistency and cohesion across all retail touchpoints
  • Manage and coordinate the design and production of all interior brand elements, including fixtures, signage, and visual displays
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external architects, designers, and contractors to ensure high-quality design and construction services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in retail design and experience
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in global retail design, with a proven track record of delivering innovative and effective retail experiences
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Strong design and presentation skills, with the ability to create and present compelling design concepts and solutions
  • Proficiency in CAD drafting and design software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
