About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Tophat Billiards. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food preparation and service staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that our food and service meet the highest quality standards, addressing any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Training and Development: Train new staff members in their job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as providing ongoing support and coaching to help them grow in their roles.
  • Operations Planning: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure that we are meeting our business objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, providing them with opportunities for on-the-job training and foreign credential recognition.
  • Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, providing them with the skills and experience they need to succeed in the culinary industry.
