Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote mental health and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
  • 1-3 years' experience working within mental health providing formal therapy.
  • DBT and ART training would be an asset.
