Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is a key member of the healthcare team at Hamilton Health Sciences, providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in specialized rehabilitation settings. This role requires a strong foundation in respiratory therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care to patients in specialized rehabilitation settings, including acute care and outpatient programs.
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate patient progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
