Senior IT Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a proficient Senior IT Business Systems Analyst to support our client in the Banking Sector.

Role Overview

  • The ideal candidate will orchestrate, oversee, and guide the delivery of comprehensive system requirements along with technical and functional specifications that adhere to established standards and frameworks.
  • You will play a pivotal role in providing technical direction and collaborating closely with driven business and technology partners, project teams, and stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage intricate functional specifications.
  • Engage with technology partners (such as Solution Designers and Architects) to investigate and assess current system capabilities and propose viable technology solutions and recommendations.
  • Document and convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications, ensuring non-functional requirements are also considered.
  • Assist testing teams in transforming requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected outcomes for various testing phases including product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to project management tasks such as scoping and estimating project efforts, identifying risks and suggesting mitigation strategies, and communicating activity status while addressing potential issues.
  • Participate in quality management reviews, which encompass designs, prototypes, and other requirements deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify solutions, evaluate impacts on existing processes and systems, and determine integration management strategies.
  • Provide analytical and process-related support.
  • Adhere to existing processes and standards, including requirements management and project management practices, technology delivery, and business technology architecture, while escalating issues as necessary.
  • Enhance your knowledge in your field, keep up with technology trends and advancements, and develop expertise in banking services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques, as well as business domains and their offerings.
  • Work with vendors to assist in business case development in line with technology requirements and guidelines, including benefits identification and service level agreements.
  • Mentor new or less experienced colleagues and serve as a resource throughout the requirements management lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards, including design, development, testing, and project management.
  • Advanced understanding of system analysis processes and techniques, as well as system components, functionalities, interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
  • Ability to work autonomously as the senior or lead system analyst and provide guidance to the team.
  • Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant, with the capability to manipulate complex data sets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Capital Markets.
  • Background in Banking.
