The Job: Senior Analyst, Digital Health & PrivacyThe starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $80,067 - $100,083
Reporting to the Program Manager of Digital Health & Associate Privacy Officer, the Senior Analyst, Digital Health & Privacy is responsible for supporting the Digital Health & Privacy team through research and technical expertise, committee support, support the development of policy documents and the communication of policy positions and issues; provide support and advice on the digital health strategy engagement work including privacy requirements for Doctors of BC and its members digital health initiatives, specifically the completion of organizational privacy impact assessments.
The Senior Analyst will advise and report on physician engagement at regional, provincial, and national tables. The Senior Analyst will analyze data, create briefing notes and reports of the current state of various projects and initiatives based on the annual work plan. The Senior Analyst will also record and track reported privacy matters, present digital health and privacy information as directed, support members and internal/external stakeholders with inquiries.

Devises, facilitates buy-in, makes recommendations, and guides implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues that cross organizational boundaries and are unclear in nature. Identifies potential consequences and risk levels. Seeks support and buy-in for problem definition, methods of resolution, and accountability.
Analytical Thinking (A):
Determines criteria for assessing issues and opportunities. Establishes clear goals and priorities needed to assess performance. Identifies relationships and linkages between different information sources. Anticipates issues that are not readily apparent on the surface. Identifies root causes and effects. Establishes clear goals and priorities. Anticipates potential problems and develops solutions needed to resolve them. Systemically analyzes relationships between apparently independent problems and issues. Reviews and cross-reviews reports. Identifies trends as well as isolated events. Translates analytical reports into management presentations and provides guidance to resolve issues. Anticipates the possible outcome of potential solutions. Identifies areas of significant concern or opportunity. Probes and initiates research to identify critical problems.
Thoroughness (A):
Identifies potential areas of conflicting priorities and vulnerability in achieving standards. Reviews department's progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets, and project milestones. Supports others in achieving deliverables by efficiently allocating resources and providing common organizing systems, techniques, and disciplines. Maintains a proactive work review and approval process prior to assignment completion. Solicits internal and external customer evaluation of performance and devises measures for improvement.

What You Bring- A post-secondary degree in health or Masters in health or business related field and at least 2-4 years' experience in an analyst role or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably related to engagement in information technology and/or project coordination is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and critically appraise research and writing privacy impact assessment and briefing notes for Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- An equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
- Understanding of the BC healthcare system.
- Experience evaluating projects related to health technology in practice (e.g. electronic medical record, virtual care platforms, and health informatics) and the privacy implications is an asset.
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills; solid judgment; critical thinking skills; a sense of teamwork and community; ability to handle multiple tasks; highly organized.
- Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated change management and document management skills.
- Advanced computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proficiency with project management software.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment along with excellent writing skills and proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive written reports.
- Experience working with multi-stakeholder initiatives and demonstrated experience working in dynamic, and iterative environments.
