About the Office:
The Office of Student Experience and Wellbeing, specifically the Student Life & International Student Centre, is dedicated to enhancing the student experience beyond the classroom. We create engaging programs and foster strong communities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to participate actively in university life and develop leadership skills.

Your Role:
In this position, you will work closely with a dynamic team under the guidance of the Director of Student Engagement and Campus Life. Your primary focus will be to enrich the co-curricular experience for students by providing essential front-line support for the Student Life Programs office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored information and support to visitors regarding Campus Groups, First Year Programs, Leadership initiatives, the Co-Curricular Record (CCR), Community Engagement, and specialized programs.
  • Offer administrative assistance, including organizing event logistics, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Respond to inquiries and redirect them as necessary.
  • Coordinate room bookings and ensure appropriate accommodations are arranged.
  • Collaborate with various contacts to maintain consistent administrative procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in administration.
  • Draft routine correspondence and verify document accuracy.
  • Assist in determining logistical details for events and programming.
  • Make minor purchases and assist in budget estimations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of a College Diploma (2 years) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a student development or student life role within a post-secondary institution.
  • Experience engaging with diverse communities and advising students within an equity-focused framework.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and fostering a respectful learning environment.
