Job Title: Medical Office Assistant

Job Summary:
Medicentres Canada Inc is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to provide exceptional customer service to our patients and support our medical staff. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, and registering them for appointments. You will also be responsible for responding to patient inquiries, initiating forms, and collecting payment for services not covered by insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and medical staff
  • Answer phones, greet patients, and register them for appointments
  • Respond to patient inquiries in person and by phone
  • Initiate forms and collect payment for services not covered by insurance
  • Escort patients to exam or treatment rooms and prepare them for physician
  • Clean and prepare exam and treatment rooms between patient visits
  • Perform diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician
  • Schedule and notify patients of appointments
  • Scan patient documents into electronic medical records
  • Complete daily, monthly, and weekly chore lists as required

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Office Assistant Qualification is an asset
  • Recent customer service experience
  • Experience with Med Access or Electronic Medical Records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in medical terminology is an asset
