About This Opportunity

Role: Collections Strategy Analyst

Overview: This role is integral to GreenSky's Collections Strategy team, which is dedicated to evaluating high-risk and delinquent accounts while formulating strategies to optimize collections and recoveries.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver analytical support to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic or tactical recommendations.
  • Create predictive decision-making rules that balance risk with customer and merchant experiences.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of evolving trends to pinpoint performance drivers with minimal guidance.
  • Execute quantitative analysis and scrutinize extensive datasets to uncover emerging performance trends independently.
  • Collaborate with various teams within the Analytics function to develop and validate hypotheses.
  • Investigate industry trends and perform competitor analysis, presenting findings to management.
  • Effectively communicate analytical results in both written and verbal formats.
  • Establish, manage, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as a trusted internal resource by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of your area of responsibility.
Required Skills/Qualifications

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant analytical or quantitative position within the Risk Management sector of a financial services organization.
  • Proficiency in managing large datasets using SQL, R, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Tableau.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical capabilities.
  • A genuine interest in leveraging data and analytics to address challenges and a desire to learn about financial services and consumer lending.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in the Collections Risk/Strategy domain within a financial services organization.
