We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Product Management team in a junior capacity. As a Junior Product Analyst, you will engage in a diverse range of activities related to MacLean's bolting solutions. Your role will involve creating marketing materials, monitoring costs, and supporting sales initiatives from initial contact through to post-delivery follow-up. There may also be opportunities for advancement into product line management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to formulate and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
- Channel data and marketing resources to the sales team while developing tools that facilitate the sales process.
- Examine quotes and custom options, conducting thorough order reviews upon receipt of purchase orders.
- Deliver product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Create content for sales proposals and develop training materials for the sales team.
- Collect customer feedback and performance metrics to ensure product specifications align with customer needs.
- Generate recommendations for spare parts to assist customers.
- Actively participate in complex, multi-year sales of mining equipment.
- Travel, both domestically and internationally, is a requirement of this role, including visits to key clients alongside the sales team to provide comprehensive product knowledge.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and issues impacting sales and customer relations.
- Take ownership of personal development and skill enhancement.
About You: The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, organized, team-oriented, disciplined, and maintain a positive outlook. Experience in a similar environment, such as metal fabrication or heavy equipment assembly, is preferred. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Engineering, Business, or Mining.
- A willingness to learn about technology and the underground mining sector.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
- A high standard of professionalism, integrity, and honesty.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent MacLean positively when engaging with clients.
- Strong listening abilities.
- A valid driver's license and passport are necessary for this position.
- Bilingualism (French and/or Spanish) is an asset.
