The Resident Engagement Assistant plays a vital role in our communities, fostering a sense of belonging and warmth among our residents.

Your typical day will impact our residents in the following ways:

  • Developing and revising departmental procedures and programs under the guidance of the Team Leader.
  • Setting up activity areas and assisting with resident transportation, as needed.
  • Maintaining resident records and reporting participation and feedback to the Team Leader.
  • Promoting social interaction among residents through leadership of assigned activities and events.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A diploma or certificate in recreation/leisure studies or equivalent.
  • Experience working with seniors, including an understanding of motivation concepts.
  • Knowledge of leisure principles and computer proficiency.
  • A successful Vulnerable Sector Check (for Ontario applicants) or Criminal Records Check (for British Columbia applicants).
