As an Articling Accountant in Assurance and Accounting, you will play a vital role in our Assurance & Accounting division. This team of skilled professionals is focused on delivering exceptional service to meet the diverse needs of our clients in a fast-paced business and financial reporting landscape. Your expertise will help clients navigate their financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
Cultivate technical expertise in areas such as compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and taxation Acquire and implement knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and/or Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) Organize files for new clients and newly established businesses, manage multiple assignments concurrently, and conduct inventory assessments Execute accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset transactions, and payroll processes with clients professionally Summarize financial positions by gathering data and preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other pertinent reports Evaluate the adequacy of audit evidence related to expenses, revenues, capital asset acquisitions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses Investigate and rectify discrepancies and irregularities in financial records, documents, and reports Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts Draft correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations that highlight engagement findings and insights Collaborate with the client engagement team and foster relationships with client representatives Contribute innovative ideas and strategies to enhance work processes while effectively utilizing MNP's internal systems and programs Maintain the flexibility to travel as requiredQualifications and Skills
Currently pursuing or completed a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, preferably with a focus on accounting or finance Working towards meeting the prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon starting employment Previous experience in an accounting-related office environment is advantageous Experience in customer service or client relations is a plus Familiarity with accounting and tax software is beneficial-
