Key Responsibilities
Enhance your technical expertise in areas such as compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and taxation. Acquire and implement knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and/or Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). Organize files for new clients and newly established businesses, manage multiple projects concurrently, and conduct inventory assessments. Execute accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset transactions, and payroll processes with clients professionally. Summarize financial positions by gathering data and preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other pertinent reports. Evaluate the adequacy of audit evidence concerning expenses, revenues, capital asset acquisitions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses. Investigate and rectify discrepancies and irregularities in financial records, documents, and reports. Establish and maintain charts of accounts, preparing entries for posting. Draft correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations that highlight engagement findings and insights. Collaborate with the client engagement team and cultivate relationships with client representatives. Contribute innovative ideas and strategies to enhance work processes while effectively utilizing MNP's internal systems. Maintain the flexibility to travel as required.Qualifications
Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, preferably with a focus on accounting or finance. Working towards the prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon employment commencement. Previous experience in an accounting-related office environment is advantageous. Experience in customer service or client relations is a plus. Familiarity with accounting and tax software is beneficial.
