We are a leading transportation company seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our logistics department.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Evaluate and optimize daily operations to ensure seamless transportation of goods.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Planning and Organization: Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
- Policy Implementation: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management on departmental performance and operations.
- Staff Management: Recruit, supervise, and train staff to ensure effective team performance.
- Financial Management: Manage departmental finances and budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with service providers to secure preferential rates and services.
- Revenue Monitoring: Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in transportation operations management.
Work Setting: General office environment.
