Job Title: Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Roadx Express Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Monitor departmental performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Plan for changes to schedules and policies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Recruit and supervise staff, providing training and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Manage finances or budget, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that the department is operating within budget.
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure transport compliance with regulations, including health and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring that all staff are aware of and adhere to these policies.
  • Negotiate for services and preferential rates with suppliers and partners.
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and that all customers are satisfied.
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue, ensuring that the department is operating profitably.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 40 hours per week.
