About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Shipload Transportation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing daily transportation operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing finances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement efficient transportation schedules and routes to meet customer demands.
  • Manage Finances and Budget: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Ensure Transport Compliance: Verify adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Negotiate Services and Rates: Establish and maintain relationships with service providers to secure preferential rates and services.
  • Recruit and Manage Staff: Hire, train, and supervise a team of transportation professionals to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Develop and present regular reports on transportation performance, financials, and operational metrics.
  • Establish and Implement Policies: Develop and enforce policies and standards for transportation and storage of goods.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Work Language: English
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
