Whistler Blackcomb, the largest ski resort in North America, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director to lead the Snow and Bike School and Skier Services division. As a key member of the Whistler Blackcomb Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving the success of the division, delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences, and aligning with the resort's and company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and monitor the Snow and Bike School and Skier Services department's service delivery to ensure exceptional quality and alignment with resort and company goals.
  • Work with Whistler Blackcomb managers and supervisors to ensure accountability for the delivery of products and services.
  • Effectively partner with Vail Resorts' VP of Ski School and Ski School Directors on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, best practice sharing, and program development.
  • Develop and support talent strategies and succession planning to align with cross-functional needs.
  • Drive an exceptional safety culture and best practice in the safe delivery of snow and bike school products and services.
  • Bring the external world in, leveraging best practices, new ideas, and industry trends to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of ski and ride industry experience, including at least 5 years as a full-time ski/snowboard instructor and 5 years as a Ski School General Manager.
  • Current PSIC/CSIA level 3 certification or international equivalent.
  • Strong business acumen, including experience owning a full P&L and overseeing a multimillion-dollar operating budget.
  • Comfortable driving cultural change management and working with company leadership.
  • Experience analyzing information and data to make decisions and leading high-potential talent.
