Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our Corporate Training Services team at Durham College. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will provide critical support to our training programs and services, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional student experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accurate coding and financial approval
    • Assist with budget preparation and track invoices for payment
  • Administrative Support:
    • Process expense reports and purchase requisitions
    • Generate department contracts and collect signatures
    • Maintain employee contact lists and handle HR responsibilities
  • Executive Support:
    • Provide executive assistance, including scheduling, data analytics, and project support
  • Special Projects:
    • Coordinate special projects and maintain financial data
  • Communication:
    • Support communication and social media efforts for the department

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2-year diploma in Office Administration, Accounting, or Human Resources
  • At least 3 years of experience in administration support with a focus on HR or finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of Banner and/or FAST is an asset
  • Accounting and bookkeeping experience are advantageous
  • Project management training or experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with post-secondary programs and policies is beneficial
  • Marketing and social media knowledge is a plus
