Lead Marketing Strategist, E-Commerce Growth

Position Overview

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing innovative marketing, merchandising, and creative strategies aimed at enhancing the visibility and sales of the organization's offerings through digital platforms. You will ensure a seamless online experience from the customer's perspective, continuously updating and refining the 'Web experience'. This includes developing affiliate programs that boost exposure and engagement with the target market. You will also manage relationships with key digital platforms that align with the e-commerce objectives of the organization. Analyzing website traffic for patterns and trends will be crucial in understanding customer behavior, allowing for recommendations that enhance website design and functionality to maximize traffic and sales.


Your Responsibilities

The Lead Marketing Strategist will play a key role in the strategic development and execution of B2B demand generation and e-commerce initiatives, driving revenue growth and enhancing digital marketing strategies in a fast-paced environment. You will engage in all phases of the customer engagement cycle, collaborating with local marketing, product, and sales teams to create impactful campaigns that generate leads and boost e-commerce sales. You will lead demand generation strategies across various channels, monitoring and refining all aspects of campaign lifecycles while nurturing target audiences to foster brand loyalty. The ideal candidate will excel in analyzing consumer behavior, optimizing creative strategies, conducting A/B testing, and enhancing user experience (UX/UI) to expand audience reach.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in senior B2B e-commerce roles, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic capabilities in driving growth.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful B2B e-commerce strategies that effectively increase revenue and market share.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in analyzing market trends and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve business goals.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance e-commerce performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development:
  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive B2B omnichannel e-commerce strategy, including business planning and budgeting, aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with executive management to refine the B2B e-commerce strategy and support lead generation efforts.
  • Lead initiatives across various areas such as UX/UI, conversion optimization, SEO/SEM, and partnership marketing to enhance customer experience.
Sales and Revenue Enhancement:
  • Drive revenue growth through effective marketing and merchandising strategies, optimizing product offerings, and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns across multiple channels, setting objectives and monitoring performance to maximize key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish and track growth targets for demand generation and e-commerce activities.
Analytics and Performance Monitoring:
  • Develop and utilize e-commerce analytics tools to monitor key performance metrics and derive actionable insights.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, accompanied by strategic insights and action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tactical plans based on sales forecasts.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital and e-commerce marketing.
  • Experience in marketing to professionals in a B2B context, particularly in sectors such as tax, accounting, or legal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and optimization using tools like Google Analytics and online advertising platforms.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
