Position Overview

As a Tile Installation Specialist at Gurmish Painting, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of various spaces through expert tile work. Your skills will contribute to creating beautiful, functional environments for our clients.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in tile installation
Key Responsibilities
  • Mix, apply, and spread various adhesives including mortar, cement, and glue using hand trowels.
  • Prepare detailed plans and sketches for tile layouts.
  • Set tiles accurately in place and apply pressure to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Align and straighten tiles to achieve a professional finish.
  • Utilize hand and power cutting tools to cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices in tile setting techniques.
  • Remove and replace any cracked or damaged tiles as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create intricate wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to enhance their appearance.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring 35 hours per week of work. The primary language of communication in this role is English.
