About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Marble Installation Specialist to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD. As a key member of our workforce, you will be responsible for installing high-quality marble surfaces in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with marble.
  • Plan and Design: Prepare rough plans and sketches for marble installation projects.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Tile Cutting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Tile Strip Installation: Install tile strips to complete the installation.
Work Environment

As a Marble Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced commercial, industrial, and residential setting. You will be exposed to odours and dusty environments, and will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Workload: Large workload, overtime required.
