About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Sang's Tile and Flooring. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles and other flooring materials in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tile
  • Mix and apply adhesives to secure tiles in place
  • Set tiles and apply pressure to ensure a secure fit
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
  • Install tile strips
Work Environment

As a Tile Setter, you will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential locations. You will be exposed to dust, odors, and noise, and will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Attention to detail
  • Large workload and tight deadlines
