Tile Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tilesetter to join our team at Gurmish Painting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tile installation and maintenance, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school education
- Experience: Minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in tile setting
- Mix, apply, and spread various adhesives including mortar, cement, and glue using hand trowels
- Prepare detailed plans and sketches for tile layouts
- Set tiles accurately and apply pressure to ensure proper adhesion
- Align and straighten tiles to maintain uniformity
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using both hand and power tools
- Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices
- Remove and replace any cracked or damaged tiles
- Oversee the work of other team members
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create intricate wall and floor designs
- Estimate material costs and project requirements
- Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to achieve desired finishes
This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week. The primary language of communication will be English.
