Job Title: Signage Implementation Coordinator

Cygnus Design Group is a leading wayfinding and environmental graphic design firm with offices across Canada. We specialize in improving how people navigate environments, access important products and services, and engage with our client's spaces. Our team is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of our wayfinding and design projects across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage project communication, responding to client and vendor inquiries, issuing site instructions, change notices, and coordinating RFIs.
  • Build strong partnerships with signage production and installation vendors, overseeing sample and shop drawing reviews, attending site meetings, and conducting thorough deficiency assessments.
  • Contribute to accurate project budgeting and estimating throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Conduct site and needs assessments to inform project implementation strategies.
  • Develop and refine location plan and message schedules for comprehensive wayfinding programs.
  • Collaborate with construction, architectural, and consultant teams, as well as internal Cygnus staff, ensuring seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years in a construction project management role or working with multi-consultant design teams.
  • Degree/diploma from a recognized university or college in graphic design, interior design, industrial design, architecture, or a related design field.
  • Direct experience or formal training in the signage & wayfinding industry is preferred.
  • Strong eye for visual and industrial design, creative problem-solving, and an appreciation for exceptional user experiences.
  • Exemplary project management skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 CAD (commensurate with experience)
  • Supplementary health and dental benefits after a 3-month probationary period
