Animal Care Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the BC SPCA. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the animal enclosures and facilities
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and ensure a positive experience for all
- Monitor the health and welfare of the animals, reporting any concerns to the Animal Centre Manager
- Administer medication and perform basic medical procedures as required
- Participate in animal training and enrichment programs to promote mental and physical stimulation
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
