We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Care Provider to join our team at Port Coquitlam Animal Hospital. This role is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of animals under our care.
Qualifications- Education: Degree in veterinary medicine, medicine, dentistry, or optometry
- Experience: Will provide training for the right candidate
The position is based in a veterinary clinic, where you will work closely with a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough examinations to identify diseases or abnormal conditions in animals, herds, and flocks through physical assessments or laboratory analyses.
- Administer treatment to sick or injured animals, which may include prescribing medications, setting fractures, dressing wounds, or performing surgical procedures.
- Implement vaccination protocols to prevent and manage diseases in animals.
- Provide guidance to clients regarding animal nutrition, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and overall care.
- Carry out routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations as required.
- Offer a variety of veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.
- Strong oral communication skills
