We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Port Coquitlam Animal Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Treat Animal Conditions
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests. They will also be responsible for treating sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
Provide Preventative CareThe successful candidate will be responsible for vaccinating animals to prevent and treat diseases, as well as advising clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
Perform Routine and Emergency ExamsOur Veterinary Care Specialist will be responsible for performing routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations, as well as providing a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.
Personal Qualities- Excellent Communication Skills
We are looking for a candidate with excellent oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
