About the Role:

WSP Canada is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) Coordinator to become a vital part of our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. This role will be based in our Calgary office and will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will oversee SQS functions specifically related to Nuclear Power Generation and Transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The SQS Coordinator will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Understanding SQS procedures and their alignment with client-specific and project requirements.
  • Identifying and approving qualified third-party inspection agencies and inspectors both locally and internationally.
  • Ensuring inspectors maintain their qualifications and proficiency.
  • Effectively communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Maintaining a weekly overview of surveillance assignments and managing results.
  • Participating in scheduling meetings to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Assessing the performance of various inspection processes and ensuring compliance with QAQC standards.
  • Interpreting specifications, drawings, and quality plans.
  • Coordinating pre-inspection meetings and managing inspection reports.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to address all quality-related activities.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of major equipment used in nuclear power generation.
  • Over 10 years of experience in inspection and quality surveillance, preferably in a CSA N299 / ASME III NCA 4000 environment.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in welding and shop fabrication.
  • Certification as a CWB Level II or III Welding Inspector.
  • API 1169 Pipeline General Inspector Certification.
  • Valid Level II certification in NDT (MT, PT, UT, RT interpretation).
  • Health and Safety Risk Assessment training is an asset.
