WSP Canada is seeking a knowledgeable Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) Coordinator to enhance our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. This role is pivotal in overseeing SQS functions related to Nuclear Power Generation and Transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The SQS Coordinator will undertake various responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Thorough understanding of SQS protocols and their alignment with project specifications.
  • Identifying and approving qualified third-party inspection agencies locally and internationally.
  • Ensuring inspectors maintain their qualifications and competencies.
  • Effectively communicating complex technical details to diverse audiences.
  • Managing a weekly overview of surveillance assignments and resource allocation.
  • Participating in scheduling meetings to facilitate effective planning.
  • Assessing process performance across various inspection methods.
  • Understanding QAQC standards and performing quality oversight for components related to CANDU reactors.
  • Interpreting technical specifications and quality plans.
  • Establishing work assignments and reporting protocols for third-party inspectors.
  • Preparing estimates for assignments and managing associated hours.
  • Reviewing inspection reports for quality assurance and compliance.
  • Ensuring vendor adherence to documentation and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to address quality-related activities.
  • Engaging with all organizational levels in a cohesive manner.
  • Assisting in the development and revision of WSP General Specifications.
  • Reviewing and approving Inspection Test Plans and Vendor Quality Plans.
  • Coordinating pre-inspection meetings and documenting outcomes.
  • Managing and reporting non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices from third-party inspection agencies.
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of major equipment used in nuclear power generation.
  • Over 10 years of experience in inspection and quality surveillance, preferably in a CSA N299 / ASME III NCA 4000 environment.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience in welding and shop fabrication.
  • CWB Level II or III Welding Inspector certification.
  • API 1169 Pipeline General Inspector Certification.
  • Valid certification in NDT (MT, PT, UT, RT interpretation).
  • Health and Safety Risk Assessment training is an asset.
