Job Overview

Reporting directly to Senior Management, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is tasked with ensuring that all renovation projects adhere to the highest quality standards. This role also encompasses the responsibility of sourcing products at optimal pricing terms both locally and internationally, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels within the organization. Collaboration with regional teams across various cities is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Auditing

  • Conduct quality assessments and audits of renovation projects across all regions.
  • Evaluate the timeliness of project completions and inspections by regional teams, providing updates to Senior Management.
  • Perform comprehensive portfolio evaluations regularly to ensure compliance with Mainstreet standards.
  • Facilitate on-site meetings with Regional and Area Managers to discuss assessment results and offer recommendations.
  • Maintain thorough records of inspections, documenting any deviations or defects to ensure traceability and uphold quality control.
  • Ensure all necessary inspections, schedules, and documentation are current and accurate.
  • Review blueprints and specifications for large capital projects to confirm compliance with legal standards.
  • Oversee production phases of significant capital projects to maintain consistent quality benchmarks.
  • Measure product dimensions, assess functionality, and compare final outputs against specifications.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address quality concerns and implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality evaluations to identify any discrepancies or non-conformities.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute internal audits to verify adherence to established procedures and regulations.
  • Assess workplace safety hazards during inspections and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create floor plans or measure suites during inspections to verify square footage and ensure accurate data representation.

Supervision Received

The Quality Assurance Coordinator operates under the general guidance of the VP Operations, demonstrating the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a collaborative team member.

Requirements and Skills

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in Quality Management and assessment is advantageous.
  • Experience in the Multi-Family Residential Rental Industry is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
