About the Role

Pacific Academy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an After-School Program Instructor. This part-time position will commence in September 2024 and will involve planning, organizing, and leading structured sessions for students in various educational and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in the after-school program.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by supervising activities and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with other program staff to ensure the smooth operation of the program and the success of all students.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, dismissal, behavior, and program activities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Pick up students from their classrooms and bring them to the after-school program classrooms.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
  • Pursuing or holding a Bachelor of Education, ECE (Early Childhood Education) or equivalent work experience/qualification is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage groups of students and adapt to varying needs and abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for the subject areas you will be instructing.
  • Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Christian Education.
  • Active and personal support of a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith.
  • Criminal Record Check.
