Job Title: Program Coordinator

Status: Temporary, Full Time

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 am - 4:30 pm, with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary)

Opportunity Overview:

As the Program Coordinator, you will be tasked with delivering administrative assistance, coordinating various initiatives and projects, and engaging with stakeholders. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining resources, fostering communication within the community, and supporting Project Managers in their program activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in achieving project objectives
  • Compile reports for funding agencies
  • Support the development of data collection systems
  • Coordinate operational aspects of programs
  • Provide insights for program guidelines and policies
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics
  • Organize program meetings
  • Assist in managing program expenditures
  • Represent the organization at community events
  • Facilitate referrals and enhance public awareness of the program
  • Research community resource networks
  • Contribute to program capacity building efforts
  • Make recommendations for program enhancement and evaluation
  • Complete additional assigned tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-year Post Secondary Diploma
  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Experience in community outreach and event coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable facilitating and presenting in public settings
  • Familiarity with community resources and networking abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on project initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related tools
  • Experience with WordPress and Mail Chimp is advantageous
  • Bilingual English/French is a significant asset
  • Union membership is required
  • A Criminal Record Check is mandatory
