As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for treating clients who have experienced psychological injuries or brain injuries related to their work, as well as those dealing with persistent pain due to workplace incidents. Your role will involve making treatment recommendations, establishing psychological work restrictions, identifying psychological barriers to returning to work, and providing psycho-education to facilitate the return-to-work process. We are seeking individuals with a background in clinical, counseling, or rehabilitation psychology, particularly those experienced in evidence-based trauma treatment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological services as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on injured workers with traumatic and/or cumulative psychological injuries, and potentially those with brain injuries or persistent pain.
- Conduct psychological assessments and treatments to support clients' return to work.
- Facilitate psychology groups and relaxation training sessions to mitigate the impact of disability-related challenges.
- Mentor undergraduate psychology interns and supervise psychology residents.
- Assist in program development as needed.
- Collaborate with psychology colleagues to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Availability to work a 0.6 FPE during standard business hours.
Your Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Psychology.
- Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
- Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting, including assessment and treatment of various disorders, with a focus on trauma treatment.
- Training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy is advantageous.

Salary: Grade H6 - $47.09 to $60.95 per hour
Note: Eligible for an EMPLOYEE REFERRAL AWARD (Employees referring candidates must submit a referral form as per the WCB Employee Referral Award Program on the HUB/HR Guidelines).
These temporary, part-time positions are for approximately one year with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Final candidates for these positions are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
