Position Overview:
As a key member of the Business Process Re-Engineering team, you will embody the role of a leader and innovator, adept at bridging the gap between strategic vision and practical execution. Your expertise will be instrumental in instilling a process-driven culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your thought leadership in business strategy and process optimization to drive operational advancements that will transform Scotiabank. You will:

  • Provide expert consultation and support to management, staff, and both internal and external stakeholders on business process management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, focusing on the identification, enhancement, and sustainability of process improvement initiatives (DMAIC).
  • Establish significant business metrics that promote process efficiency and yield tangible business outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively and strategically influence middle management and executive leadership to embrace productivity enhancements and advocate for change management.
  • Ensure that the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture are integrated into daily operations and decision-making processes, guiding day-to-day activities in alignment with the Bank's risk culture and relevant risk appetite statements.
  • Foster a high-performance environment where team members are encouraged to make informed decisions, take ownership, and focus on priority tasks.

Guarantee that processes and procedures are timely, high-quality, and efficient, enabling the success of our business partners and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Contribute to a culture where the team strives for effective and efficient operations in their respective domains.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, adhering to the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Professional Development:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is advantageous. This role offers opportunities to enhance skills in strategic planning and project management, contributing to personal and career growth.
