The Vendor Managed Inventory Sales Consultant will oversee daily order management for key accounts. By collaborating with purchasing contacts at the plant level, the objective is to guarantee sufficient product availability and timely replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily visits to a designated list of strategic clients requiring Vendor Managed Inventory (cylinders/hardgoods)
  • Ensure order accuracy, pricing, and processing within JDE
  • Transform orders into customer purchase order format and communicate with the purchasing department as necessary
  • Deliver products to clients as required
  • Maintain clear communication with the General Sales Manager (GSM), Territory Manager (TM), and distribution supervisors
  • Identify and document Prostar conversion opportunities, meeting quarterly with Territory Managers for review
  • Assist Territory Managers with cylinder audits
  • Issue credit memos for returned hard goods while processing orders on-site
  • Seek opportunities to transition customers to LG&E Express, EDI payments, etc., aiming to minimize transaction costs
  • Participate in joint calls with Territory Managers to engage new clients as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Proficient in Excel, JDE, and general computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
