Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs, supervising daily activities of buyers for industrial operations in North America, providing training and support to team members, creating training documents, establishing and managing tracking protocols, examining inventory levels, and coordinating with the team on reordering strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement projects and act as a change management responsible
  • Review annual prices, negotiate with suppliers, and evaluate their performance
  • Analyze and evaluate purchasing trends and prices to identify opportunities to minimize costs
  • Maintain purchasing parameters in SAP (commercial agreements, creation of suppliers/partners)
  • Take a proactive approach to address situations before they become roadblocks
  • Have a deep understanding of purchasing functions, workflow, reports, tasks, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, engineering, business, supply chain, or related fields
  • Significant experience and expertise in procurement functions in a similar industry
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial domain
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and creative
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Autonomy, flexibility, and initiative
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative spirit
  • Bilingual (English and French)
