Job Title: Inventory Analyst

At American Iron and Metal, we are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Analyst to join our team. As an Inventory Analyst, you will play a critical role in the financial management of our inventory, ensuring accurate monitoring and control of our stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with site managers, buyers, and other stakeholders to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Coordinate inventory counts and monthly inventory calculation cycles.
  • Monitor contracts, commodity prices, and accruals to identify and correct errors.
  • Manage and reconcile off-site inventory held by technicians and service partners.
  • Validate inventory production and transfers between commodities.
  • Perform on-site checks to ensure system and floor quantities match.
  • Develop and compile inventory reports and manage the reconciliation process.
  • Issue cost of goods sold/gross margin report, inter-company transactions.
  • Analyze transactions in transit.
  • Document and formalize procedures.
Qualifications:
  • DEC or university degree in accounting, administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years experience within an accounting-related function.
  • Knowledge of the Office suite with advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, macros, power query).
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Python, and/or SQL (an asset).
  • Knowledge of inventory capture issues and APICS certification (an asset).
  • Strong interest in data analysis and process automation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual French and English.
