Security Console Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Console Operator to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Console Operator, you will be responsible for dispatching alarm and occurrence responses, coordinating scheduling changes, and documenting all information into comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatching alarm and occurrence responses in a timely and efficient manner
- Coordinating scheduling changes, book-offs, and other administrative tasks
- Documenting all information into comprehensive reports to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Escalating situations to stakeholders as required to ensure effective communication and resolution
- Ensuring necessary procedures are followed in the event of emergencies such as bomb threats, fires, and break and enters
- Liaising with local emergency services and client personnel to ensure seamless communication and response
- Providing briefings to management, supervisors, and staff as required to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Patrolling and monitoring security systems to ensure optimal performance and effectiveness
Requirements
- Experience in a control room with CCTV and access card systems
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid (WSIB Approved) First Aid Certificate Level C
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional ability with the Windows operating system and Windows Office software such as Excel and Word
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with Tracktik is considered an asset
- Superior customer service and professionalism
- Above average English communication skills, both verbal and written; French is considered a strong asset
- Ability to function independently and multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
