Job Overview

Paladin Security is a leading provider of security services, dedicated to making the world a safer and more secure place. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Console Operator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch alarm and occurrence responses in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate scheduling changes, book-offs, and other administrative tasks
  • Document all information into comprehensive reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Escalate situations to stakeholders as required, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ensure necessary procedures are followed in the event of emergencies, such as bomb threats, fires, and break and enters
  • Liaise with local emergency services and client personnel to ensure seamless communication and response
  • Provide briefings to management, supervisors, and staff as required, utilizing strong presentation and communication skills
  • Patrol designated areas, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Requirements

  • Experience in a control room environment with CCTV and access card systems
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid (WSIB Approved) First Aid Certificate Level C

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • Functional ability with the Windows operating system and Windows Office software, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with Tracktik is considered an asset
  • Superior customer service and professionalism, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Above average English communication skills, both verbal and written; French is considered a strong asset
  • Ability to function independently and multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Previous Operations Centre experience is considered an asset
