About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Umai Sushi & Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and dietary requirements of our customers.
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train a team of cooks to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all dishes are prepared to order and that customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
