Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Chef Big D's Deli and Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and train kitchen staff on new equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Recruit and hire staff, and supervise their training and development.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Dependability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic.
