As an Insurance Customer Service Consultant, you will join our Homeowners (HO3) division. In this capacity, your primary responsibility will be to handle incoming calls to address customer inquiries and concerns, fostering a seamless experience for clients engaging with Assurant, while effectively conveying the value of our services. This role involves aiding customers in the acquisition, enhancement, and retention of insurance offerings by thoroughly outlining the features and advantages available.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this role?

  • Address inquiries regarding customer benefits and resolve product-related questions.
  • Record essential account details and propose tailored solutions that benefit both the customer and Assurant.
  • Recognize potential sales opportunities to promote company programs during calls.
  • Achieve results evaluated by customer satisfaction, efficiency, quality, retention, and sales performance metrics.

What are the requirements for this position?

  • An active P&C license is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound P&C insurance call center environment.

What additional skills or experience would be beneficial?

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-volume, team-oriented setting.
  • Exceptional listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a collaborative team approach.
