Salary Range : $ 100,000 - $ 115,000 annually

Key Responsibilities :

Staff Leadership

Recruit, lead, and mentor team members; provide constructive feedback and coaching aligned with performance management and career development. Collaborate with Human Resources to address and resolve conflicts or performance challenges, implementing corrective measures as necessary. Facilitate training, development, and deployment opportunities for staff.

Financial Oversight

Modify financial management and reporting practices to meet organizational requirements. Evaluate and refine processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

Engage in operational planning and the formulation of annual and multi-year budgets, overseeing compliance with established guidelines. Generate monthly financial forecasts based on thorough analysis, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders. Prepare regular reports highlighting key financial and operational metrics to support informed decision-making.

Administrative Management

Oversee the management and administration of facilities. Supervise the administration team, ensuring effective support services to meet operational needs. Ensure efficient administrative operations to support the organization's objectives.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

Participate in and promote mandatory health and safety training and orientation. Foster respectful communication among all personnel and clients to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Adhere to health, safety, and quality assurance policies to ensure the well-being of employees, volunteers, and clients.

Qualifications :

A university degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline, along with a professional accounting designation (CPA). At least 5 years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience. Experience managing a team in a unionized setting is preferred. Relevant experience in philanthropic and non-profit sectors. Strong understanding of accounting principles, techniques, and policies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to effectively engage with executives. Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel (advanced), and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and build productive relationships. Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively.

Working Conditions :

This hybrid role is based in a flexible work environment. In-office attendance may be necessary based on job requirements. Non-traditional hours may be required for on-call duties and emergency responses. Most work will be conducted in an office setting. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment screening process, including a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
