Key Responsibilities

As part of the Commercial Banking (Wholesale Automotive Lending) division, you will collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive financial solutions aimed at enhancing growth, optimizing cash flow, improving operational efficiency, and minimizing risk. In your role as a Relationship Executive, you will oversee and expand a portfolio of automotive mid-market Commercial Banking clients by actively pursuing new business opportunities and ensuring that clients receive exemplary service for their daily banking needs. You will serve as a strategic partner to prominent Canadian enterprises, providing tailored business solutions, expert guidance, and timely advice to help clients achieve their objectives.

Success Factors

  • Building Relationships: Establish new client connections through proactive business development efforts, utilizing referral networks, existing clientele, and influential contacts. Continuously monitor and nurture these relationships by gaining a deep understanding of clients' goals and business status.
  • Collaborative Approach: Partner with internal teams to connect clients with valuable opportunities. Dedicate yourself to establishing a presence in the local business community to leverage this profile into effective relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Client-Centric Experience: Proactively evaluate client needs and propose tailored solutions. Engage with assigned clients to ensure prompt responses to inquiries or issues, delivering a superior service experience. Utilize your industry knowledge to craft client proposals that address financial and strategic requirements.

Who You Are

  • Client-Focused: You engage purposefully to identify optimal solutions and go above and beyond to serve clients.
  • Experienced: You possess a background in wholesale automotive or mid-market commercial banking, with proven business development skills and a solid grasp of financial statements and account principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis. You have experience managing the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients with credit needs typically ranging from $1MM to $5MM, as well as complex cash management requirements.
  • Ownership Mindset: You thrive when given the autonomy to take initiative, exceed expectations, and achieve results.
  • Educational Background: You hold a degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
